Dr. Andrew Gordon

Neurologist

Dr. Gordon is Board Certified in Neurology. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and he attended medical school at Northwestern University Medical School, graduating class of 1999. He completed his neurology residency and neuromuscular disease/EMG and neurophysiology fellowship at Rush University Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Gordon’s subspecialty focus is neuromuscular disease (e.g. myasthenia gravis, neuropathy, CIDP, multifocal motor neuropathy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and EMG. He also practices general neurology, with emphasis on Parkinson’s disease, headache, epilepsy, stroke and MS.

Dr. Gordon has been recognized numerous times by Advocate Physician Partners for excellence in achieving exceptional clinical integration outcomes. He has appeared as a physician expert on Fox 32 News Chicago, and he has also worked with the American Academy of Neurology on health policy issues in Washington D.C. Dr. Gordon is a member of the American Academy of Neurology’s Neuromuscular Section, Clinical Neurophysiology Section, and the Headache/Facial Pain Section. Dr. Gordon’s practice focus and expertise also includes IVIG and monoclonal antibody treatment in neuromuscular disease, performing and interpreting epidermal nerve fiber density (ENFD) skin biopsies, and use of CGRP inhibitors as well as Botulinum toxin for chronic migraine.

Dr. Gordon is a husband and father, and was born and raised in the Chicago area.
