Elizabeth Flaherty, M.D. grew up in Crystal Lake, IL. She went on to attend the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign where she graduated Magna Cum Lade. She received her medical degree from Rush Medical College in 2010, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. She completed neurology residency at Rush University Medical Center, where she served as chief resident, and remained there to complete her fellowship in neurophysiology (EEG/epilepsy and EMG/neuromuscular). Dr. Flaherty is board certified in neurology as well as clinical neurophysiology.
Since completion of her training, Dr. Flaherty has enjoyed returning to the community to care for patients in the northwest suburbs. She practices general neurology and treats a wide variety of neurological conditions. She has a special interest in epilepsy and EEG interpretation, and also has expertise in performing EMGs and treating neuromuscular disorders. She is experienced in headache management, including administration of Botox injections for treatment of chronic migraine.
Elizabeth Flaherty, M.D. resides in the area with her husband and two young children.
