Dr. Erin McGonigle is a board certified Physiatrist specializing in Neurorehabilitation. Her practice in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation focuses on returning patients to their previous level of function and optimizing their physical well-being.
She is fellowship trained in the management of Spasticity, a type of muscle tightness often seen in patients with strokes, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, and brain injuries. She has extensive training in the use of botulinum toxins (Botox, Xeomin) to treat upper and lower extremity spasticity, as well as torticollis/cervical dystonia (tight muscles in the neck), sialorrhea (excessive drooling), and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
Dr. McGonigle also manages Intrathecal Baclofen (ITB), including assessment and referral for pump placement and management of existing pumps. She is also interested in general rehabilitation including the management of patients with musculoskeletal issues and amputations.
