Dr. Patel is a board-certified Neurohospitalist serving Alexian Brothers Medical Center, St. Alexius Medical Center, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Advocate Sherman Hospital, Northwest Community Hospital, and Advocate Condell Hospital. He graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield. He completed internship training in Internal Medicine and a Neurology residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He possess fellowship training in Neurocritical Care from Rush University Medical Center.
His practice experience/interests are in acute neurological emergencies including Stroke and Neurocritical Care. His practice is also focused on the various illnesses in General Neurology, including Epilepsy, Neuromuscular Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Headache. He employs the basic principles of clinical neurology and localization, neuropharmacology, neuroimaging, and human physiology. His practice philosophy centers on diagnostic precision to expedite the restoration of function to the neurologically ill patient.
