George Katsamakis, M.D. has devoted his interest in Neurology to the care of patients with Multiple Sclerosis. Prior to joining Northwest Neurology, he was an Assistant Professor at the Rush University Multiple Sclerosis Center, managing complex MS cases as well as participating in and spearheading novel therapeutic trials in the field. Seeing the need for advanced care outside Chicago, he conceived and directs the Multiple Sclerosis Center of Northwest Neurology. The Center provides comprehensive and compassionate care for over 1500 patients with Multiple Sclerosis.
George Katsamakis, M.D. has authored or coauthored articles, abstracts, and book chapters primarily devoted to multiple sclerosis. His articles have been published in journals such as Neurology, Archives of Neurology, Journal of Neurology, and Multiple Sclerosis. He also has presented numerous local, national, and international presentations in his field. Dr. Katsamakis received the Leadership Class of 2000 Award presented by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Dr. Katsamakis is Board Certified in Neurology.
